The LTA are introducing changes to British Tennis Membership. There will now be 2 tiers of membership - Lite and Team Membership.
Lite Membership is essentially the same as the existing British Tennis Membership and is still free. However, they are now encouraging us all to take out Team Membership which costs £20 per year for adults and £10 for juniors and provides a few additional benefits which may, or may not, be of interest to you. The LTA says the money raised through membership will be re-invested in the game at grass roots level and that, as a member, you will help decide how it is spent. If you wish to stay with your current free membership, you don't need to do anything and it will continue as before; you will still be eligible to be entered in the club's Wimbledon ballot and it will not affect the club's allocation of tickets.
If you have not yet signed up for British Tennis Membership, this is an ideal time to take a look and decide which type of membership is right for you. There is no obligation to take out either but if you want an LTA rating or wish to represent the club in matches you will need a BTM number.
