It’s been one week since we woke up to our our lovely tennis club being completely underwater. Everything was damaged, courts, clubhouse, changing facilities. It’s been a week of hard work by everyone involved. You’ve seen our physical efforts on the court, removing wheelbarrow after wheelbarrow of mud which was left behind after the flooding. There’s also the behind the scenes work which you don’t see but it’s been non stop and crucial to helping the club recover from this
We can’t thank you enough for your support whether it’s been donations, time, money, items, messages, phone calls, volunteers, everything has helped us get through the week and we appreciate it so much.
We have stepped up our fundraising target as it seems very likely that we will need to resurface all 4 courts as the flooding has damaged the surfaces. Resurfacing costs £10000 per court and we’ll be totally reliant on donations and funding.
