Attaches is a poster about a fund raiser we have going at St Mary's for our Re-ordering project, more details about which can be seen on a short film at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9r4VQscRJtI. This is an exciting project but requires major funds to become reality.
We are very keen that all organisations, groups, societies and businesses with whom we have some sort of link (as we do with the Tennis Club through the Christmas Tree Festival) should be aware of our plans and have a chance to support the Parish as we try and achieve them. St Mary's is a community building, it is there for everyone. In times of crisis or times of celebration, for individuals, for families and for community gatherings, all are welcome, but the current facilities do not make it easily accessible for all sectors of the community. Hence our strap line is "we are building a community where everyone matters", and we are genuinely dedicated to this aim.
The "Bag to Church" collection I am sending you details about is a simple way that everyone can join in with the fund raising if they would like to. An added benefit is the encouragement to do a bit of de-cluttering as well! We are using the well known "Bag to School" company so we know that the items collected will be properly re-used or re-cycled.
I do have a limited supply of bags but in fact any clean plastic bag will do. I am quite happy to collect donations before the final date of 25th September if that would help people out. My phone number is on the attached flyer.
If you felt able to forward this to your members I would be very grateful.
Regards
