Lydney Tennis Club 'Sports Relief' 2016

Hi All. At a pre-season planning meeting yesterday, it was decided to hold our first 'Open Day' of 2016 on Sunday March 13th and details will be sent to the membership nearer the day.
 
However it was also decided that our Tennis Club could get involved with 'Sports Relief' by holding a sponsored 'Tennisathon' on Saturday March 12th between 8am - 8 pm.
 
At this stage, all we need is an idea of how many club members (or parents) would be interested.
 
Ideally:

• We will use 2 courts.
• People will be on court for one hour and the organising committee will coordinate a schedule.  People can identify a preferred hour if they wish and the organising committee will try to accommodate, if possible.
• The committee will arrange for sponsor sheets to be produced and distributed to participants and all monies raised will be donated to 'Sports Relief'.
• More exact details will be decided once we know who is interested.  It could, for example, be that 2 people will use one court or 4 people.
• Initially we are saying that this will be available to all club members aged 12 and over, as we are assuming that only general supervision would be required.  However younger club members are welcome to take part provided a parent or supervising adult can accompany them while on court.

With the 'Open Day' taking place the next day, this should be a great and positive way to get the 2016 season up and running and I hope that as many as possible will get involved.
