Tennis Open Day Saturday April 13th 2013
It may not be tennis weather just yet but plans are afoot at Lydney Tennis Club and our first Open Day will be Saturday April 13th. This is a free event so, whatever your age, please come along and have a go. Or why not sign up for one of Fraser’s coaching courses? Tennis is fun and will keep you fit.
Tennis of any sort looked unlikely after floods which left all four courts covered in sludge. But in January about 20 members turned out to scrape off the mud. Court washing followed and by mid-Feb all the courts were back in action. (Yes I know it’s mad but some people really do play through the winter!)
The club is buoyant at the moment with about 50 adult members and 72 juniors. We have many promising juniors and they have FIVEteams in the Glos, Aegon Summer League this year. Work is progressing on new floodlights and more court improvements are planned.
This is a great facility for local people and the club’s future looks bright. Come and be part of it.

- Juniors 5-7yrs 10am - 11am
- Juniors 8-11yrs 11am - 12noon
- Juniors 11+ 12noon -1pm
- Adults 2pm - 4pm
