Test and Trace: Record of Players

25/7/2020

To help support NHS Test and Trace, the LTA now requires clubs to keep a temporary record of the names and contact details of everyone playing at the club for 21 days. When booking a court online, you now have the option to add a participant. We are asking that you add the names of all of the people you will be playing with to help us meet this requirement.

If you are bringing a guest, you can select them as a guest through the dropdown underneath their name. You must still pay the visitor fee and complete their contact details on our website at this page.

This option is not currently available through the booking app, so for the time being you will need to use the web version for all court bookings.

Return to Managed Play

1/6/2020

As you may know the LTA updated their guidance to clubs on Sunday.  A copy of the guidance is below, please could you take a few moments to read it.

Now players from different households are allowed to play doubles maintaining 2m distance on court as far as possible.  The guidance also suggests considering in advance who will take any shots down the middle of the court to avoid players getting too close.  You can now play with one set of balls if you wish; if you prefer to continue using your own marked balls then that's absolutely fine - it's something that can be decided by the individual players.  If you choose to use shared balls it is even more important to thoroughly clean your hands after playing.

All the other guidelines are still in place.

You can now book a playing slot of up to 2 hours if you wish.

Return to Restricted Play

11/5/2020

As many of you may already be aware, tennis clubs are being allowed to return to restricted play from Wednesday which is clearly very encouraging news.

You may play singles with one other person from outside of your household, or doubles only with others in your household. It is important to maintain social distance of at least 2m at all times and to wash your hands before and after playing.

Full guidance from the LTA on the safe return to play is in the document below.
