One of the conditions of transfer was that we would erect signs at either end to say that the bridge is now the property of the Tennis Club. We have added that members of the public may also use it at their own risk, having confirmed with the LTA earlier in the year that our affiliation covers us for public liability for both members and non-members.
It was also a recommendation that once the repairs were carried out, we would arrange for an inspection to confirm that all is well. This has been done.
If any of you happen to be passing by the bridge tomorrow at 2.15, the 'Forester' would like to take some photos to put into next week's edition.
Many thanks to Chris Holms of 'Pasfab' for carrying out the repairs. We are all very grateful that we won't need to trudge across a wet, muddy and dark field again this winter!
Many thanks also to all of you who have supported the club during the past 12 months with letters or emails written, attendance at council meetings, help with the petition etc. It has been much appreciated.
Best Regards
Martin Godwin (Club Chairman)
