Hi All
SUNDAY SOCIAL TENNIS
You will hopefully have seen that we have a Sunday afternoon social tennis slot on the calendar as from 3pm. This was introduced last year and has had varying degrees of success.
To improve its running, I thought it would be a good idea to see who is interested in playing and I could then create a Sunday afternoon email distribution list and remind people in advance each week, once we know how the weather is likely to be. So, if you are interested in playing on a Sunday afternoon when you can and would like to be added to the email distribution list, could you please let me know and I'll aim to get this up and running within the next couple of weeks while we can still hopefully enjoy some decent autumn weather.
You don't have to be a paid-up member of the club for this, by the way. We have several parents of junior members, for example, who are good players and who might like to take this opportunity to practise with other parents or club members. Older juniors are also welcome to join in, as they do on a regular Monday club night.
NEW LIGHTS!
The new floodlights on courts 1+2 have been installed and are ready for club use - just in time for the autumn. The on-off switches are located underneath the ones for courts 3+4 and it's just green for on and red for off. Two pieces of advice from the electricians:
Best Regards

- If the lights are on and for some reason are switched off by mistake, please allow 15 minutes before switching them back on.
- Although there may not be many occasions when all courts need to be floodlit, it's best not to switch all 4 courts on at same time because of the power surge but to switch 1 or 2 courts on and then wait a minute or two before switching the other courts lights on.
