Hi All. It was reported to me earlier today that a group of 6 or so people were seen leaving the Tennis Club premises at around 11.30-11.45 last night. Although there was no damage as such, the floor was left in a bit of a mess, the medical supply kit had been tampered with, the one working heater had been left running, the fire extinguisher was off its wall mounting and there was at least one empty vodka bottle. The floodlights are on a timer and cannot be used after approximately 10.30. I am assuming therefore that this was not an after-tennis social gathering. As a result, I feel it important to inform the membership and just in case anyone does know who may have been involved or has suspicions, to point out that the premises are not to be used for general 'hanging out'. We rarely have incidents of this sort to report but have been advised that when they do occur, we must inform the police authorities who will then send a patrol round on a regular basis and this has been done. Any thoughts or comments, please let me know. Regards Martin Godwin (Club Chairman) |
